Program Description

LawyerUp operates an SMS program to communicate with current and prospective clients about their legal matters. Messages may include: case status updates, appointment reminders, document requests, court-date notifications, and responses to inquiries you initiate. This is a transactional program — not a marketing list.

How to Opt In

You opt in by submitting an intake form on https://lawyerup.com and checking the SMS consent checkbox, or by texting us after providing your phone number in an existing client engagement. Consent is not required to receive legal services and is not a condition of representation.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your case activity. Active cases typically receive 2–8 messages per week; inactive cases receive few or none.

Fees

LawyerUp does not charge for SMS messages. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out of all further SMS communications from LawyerUp. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages unless you opt in again. You may also revoke consent by calling (866) 264-2638 or emailing info@lawyerup.com.

Supported Carriers

SMS delivery is supported on all major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, MetroPCS, and Virgin Mobile. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Phone numbers collected for SMS consent are used solely for the communications described above. We do not sell, rent, or share phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are retained only for the duration of our engagement plus any period required by law. See our Privacy Policy for details.
